2. We inject worms with your mix

3. We ship 20 injected worms to you

4. You screen the injected worms

If you place an order for us to inject your custom background strain, you will also need to send us your worms and we will need to recover and synchronize a population before injection.

Please read the following sections for important additional information.

To use a PO, provide a PO number at checkout and select "Manual Payment" for the payment method. Upon delivery of your order, we will invoice your institutional billing contact.

If we are not approved for POs with your institution:

• Leave the PO number blank at checkout, select "Manual Payment", and place your order.

• We will email you to arrange approval with your institution. Please be aware this will cause a delay in processing your order, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

• Once approval is complete, we will email you to request your PO number (and shipping information if you did not provide it).

• We will proceed with processing your order upon receipt of the remaining information and your materials.

If you order multiple injection sets, please number each mix tube 1 through N. You will be asked to provide a map of which tube number corresponds to which mix ID (and background strain if ordering custom strains) at checkout.

You will be emailed an order confirmation after placing your order. Please print a copy and include it with your shipment. This is needed for us to track your materials and which order they go with.

Cost for FedEx Standard Overnight is:

- 1 Injection Set: $100

- 2 Injection Sets: $150

- 3 Injection Sets: $200

- 4 Injection Sets: $250

- 5+ Injection Sets: $300

Please be aware that if you select "Customer Provided" shipping, we will only begin your project once we have your shipping information and materials. If you pay upfront for the service and FedEx Standard Overnight shipping, we will begin your project as soon as we receive your materials.

We do not ship outside of the United States.

Approximately 1 week

Injecting a customer strain requires at least 1 additional week (approximately 2 weeks total) for recovering and synchronizing worms. Additional time may be required for background strains that affect growth rate or reproduction.

The C. elegans organisms you will receive from purchasing this service are for contained, laboratory research use only. They are not for diagnostic or therapeutic use, and the purchaser is prohibited from releasing these organisms into the environment. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to determine suitability for use, to maintain proper containment, and to comply with all applicable GMO regulations. The purchaser is responsible for handling and disposing of these organisms in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
